Over the course of the semester, everyone will be responsible for a short essay about a book or work of creative writing you read outside of class. This can be whatever you want it to be! The only criteria for this assignment should be that

a) you discuss what the book is about

b) you discuss why you like it

c) you focus on what you can use from it in your own writing—in terms of technique, subject matter, or more.

Include at least two quotes from the book, and explain why they’re significant to you. This should be about 1-2 pages long!

There will be five different sets of due dates for this. Please select one. You’ll be responsible for emailing your short essay to me before class this day; I’ll then post them to this page.
